Student Book Writer
Chuck Aaron is associate director of the intern program at Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, Texas. He has served churches in Texas, Tennessee, Virginia, and North Carolina. He holds degrees from Lambuth College, The University of Memphis, SMU, and Union Presbyterian Seminary. He has taught courses in biblical studies and preaching at Duke, Perkins, and
Chuck enjoys writing (or at least having written), keeping in shape, watching college basketball, and learning to play the guitar. He is married to Sandra, a computer programmer.
Teacher Book Writer
David Mosser is a minister at Salado United Methodist Church in Salado, Texas (Central Texas Conference). He was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, but grew up in Independence, Missouri. He moved to Texas for college and seminary in 1971 and earned his PhD in the academic discipline of rhetoric from the University of Texas. He also served a year-long theological teaching internship in Liberia, West Africa.
David’s active ministry includes writing Bible curriculum for adults and writing articles and book reviews for theological journals. He has taught homiletics at Perkins at Southern Methodist University for over a decade and is the chaplain for Texas Kairos prison ministry.
David has three children: Cassie, Robert, and David Jr.
Carol Cavin-Dillon serves a senior pastor of West End United Methodist Church, Nashville, TN. She previously served Christ United Methodist Church, Franklin, Tennessee as associate and then senior pastor. She has also served at Brentwood United Methodist Church, Brentwood, Tennessee. She holds degrees from Duke University and Candler School of Theology at Emory University. She and her husband David are parents of son, Tate, and daughter, Martha.
Robert (Bob) P. Gardner is a retired minister in The United Methodist Church. He spent 41 years (34 in the Memphis Annual Conference) as a full-time elder. He attended Vanderbilt University and Oral Roberts University School of Theology and Missions.
Bob enjoys exercising, occasionally watching human interest movies, and teaching a monthly adult Sunday school class at First United Methodist church in Murray, Kentucky. He and his wife, Jackie, are now empty-nesters but have a blended family of six children and three grandchildren.
