Chuck Aaron is associate director of the intern program at Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, Texas. He has served churches in Texas, Tennessee, Virginia, and North Carolina. He holds degrees from Lambuth College, The University of Memphis, SMU, and Union Presbyterian Seminary. He has taught courses in
biblical studies and preaching at Duke, Perkins, and Austin Seminary. He enjoys writing (or at least having written), keeping
in shape, watching college basketball, and learning to play the guitar.


Chuck is married to Sandra, a computer programmer. They enjoy movies and keeping up with their favorite TV shows: Grey’s Anatomy, NCIS, and Big Bang Theory (Chuck more than Sandra on that one).

Chuck would like to thank the members of First United Methodist Church in Terrell, Texas, who allowed him to test-drive some of these ideas before they appeared in print.   Martha Myre is an ordained elder in the North Texas Conference, with a ministry of teaching and writing. Her background is diverse, with a degree from Vanderbilt University in molecular biology, as well as the more usual degrees from Perkins School of Theology (MTS) and Southern Methodist University (PhD in Hebrew Bible).

Martha is serving as the pastor of Parkrose United Methodist Church in Portland, Oregon, in the Oregon-Idaho Conference. She is loving being back in full-time ministry with the people of Northeast Portland and looks forward to exploring the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
